Scattered PM showers turn more numerous at night Friday - CM ☔️
FRIDAY-SATURDAY
We start the day off with patches of fog once again.
Temperatures rise into the 70s fairly quickly, but showers will start to move in gradually after midday.
These will be scattered, along with some storms. The more numerous showers and storms we see come in around/after sunset.
These will be off and on into the early morning hours Saturday.
Beyond that, showers and storms will once again be scattered with highs in the low to mid 70s.
Localized flooding is possible for those caught under heavier, slower-moving downpours. That potential will be watched overnight into Saturday morning.
SUNDAY
The area of low pressure responsible for these showers and storms will stall off the North Carolina coast.
A northeast breeze will bring in cooler, less muggy air. That said, pockets of mist and drizzle will be possible.
Highs will be in the 60s for most of the area Sunday.
NEXT WEEK
Though we start cloudy Monday, we expect a partly cloudy sky to break out.
We’ll trade morning temperatures in the 50s for afternoon temperatures in the 70s.
Tuesday starts out fairly cool, but we expect sunshine to help bring us into the 70s and lower 80s by afternoon.
Moisture levels rise ahead of a front Wednesday, bringing the chance for afternoon/evening storms. Highs will be in the 80s.
