BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. – There will soon be more housing options for seniors in our area.
A groundbreaking was held Thursday for a $25 million expansion project at the Glebe Senior Living Community in Botetourt County.
22 new cottages will be ready by early 2025.
Renovations also include a larger multi-purpose room and new dining room.
“With the baby boomer trend hitting us, we’ve got 32% of the population of Botetourt County ages 60 and over so we’re already seeing the need as evidenced by the large waitlist we have already for The Glebe,” said Shelli Schinkus, director of sales and marketing for The Glebe.
