AMHERST COUNTY, Va. - Authorities have charged two men in connection with the shooting death of a 17-year-old boy in Amherst County.

On Monday, members of the Amherst County Sheriff’s Office responded to Sprouse Drive after someone reported that shots had been fired into a residence.

As authorities responded and checked that area, they received another 911 call regarding a boy who had been shot and was in a car at the Route 29 By-Pass and the Route 130 extension, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

As a result of the initial call, Steve Burrell and Kivin Graham, both of North Carolina, have been charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling and are currently being held at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail.
