Tim Harfmann joined the 10 News team in September 2020. A native of Queens, New York, he's excited to learn more about Central Virginia.
Tim comes to WSLS 10 from Brooklyn, where he spent five years as a reporter and multimedia journalist covering New York City. His experience also includes traveling to Puerto Rico to report on the destruction following Hurricane Maria and reporting from the U.S.-Mexico border on immigration issues.
A proud alumnus of St Bonaventure University, he graduated with a bachelor's in Journalism and Mass Communication. Tim worked as a reporter for the university's television and radio stations, as well as a play-by-play broadcaster for women's basketball games.
When he's not working, Tim enjoys baseball, trying new places, food, and activities.
He also enjoys meeting people. If you see Tim out and about, please do not hesitate to say hello!
