ROANOKE (WSLS 10) - Seven adults are temporarily without a home after a fire damaged their house Tuesday morning in Roanoke.
According to Roanoke Fire-EMS, the fire started at 11:42 a.m. in the 900 block of Stewart Ave., SE.

Upon arrival, crews saw fire showing from the attic of the two-story home. No one was inside the house when the fire started.
Damage estimates are approximately $35,000. Fire officials say seven people are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
