ROANOKE, Va. – Wind advisories are in place for the day as gusty winds make a return.
Winds begin to peak around the 10 a.m. hour and stay in place until the mid-afternoon before falling off as we head into the evening.
If you are heading out the door or walking the pup, you will notice clear skies and warmer temperatures. The wind hasn’t quite kicked in for all yet, but it will later Wednesday morning.
Temperatures warm up significantly in the afternoon. A lot of us get into the 50s with some even reaching the 60s!
The setup is what is fueling Wednesday’s wind and warmth. The area of high pressure to our south is providing mostly clear skies and warm temperatures, while the flow is providing gusty winds.
As we progress through the week, an area of low pressure gathers itself and treks west across the country. By Friday, rain is knocking on our front door.
