Roanoke, VA – After a pretty seasonable Christmas, temperatures will remain average today and tomorrow, before shooting up into the 50s Saturday, and 60s on Sunday.
We’ll also have the chance for some widespread rainfall beginning Friday night and lasting through Sunday. The heaviest rain will take place midday Sunday, and will be beneficial for the region given the ongoing drought.
2024 will wrap up with abnormally warm temperatures, but there are impending signs that we could see a pattern shift by the turn of the new year, with widespread temperatures in the 50s and 40s to start out 2025.
