ROANOKE, Va. – The wind is light and coming in from the Atlantic, resulting in moisture at the surface. That means we’ll see areas of fog Monday morning. These will gradually clear out between 8 and 10 a.m.
Following that, temperatures rise into the 60s. This will continue the spring feel we had at times over the weekend.
Tuesday comes in and says, “hold my beer.” Additional sunshine will give an extra boost to our temperatures.
This comes out ahead of a system that will produce off-and-on rain Wednesday. Some pockets could be heavy.
Despite that, the flood threat looks pretty low. Most rain totals will range between half-an-inch and an inch-and-a-half. Though there may be some storms in the eastern half of the area, it looks like they’ll be more abundant closer to the East Coast.

We’ll turn breezy, dry and warm Thursday.
Clouds and rain showers then increase Friday ahead of another system that dips down into the Gulf. The most rain we see then comes Saturday.
Once that passes, we’ll turn windy and a little cooler. Most snow showers will be geared toward the west-facing slopes.
That could make for some great skiing and snowboarding weather, especially up toward Snowshoe Mountain.
