ROANOKE, Va. – October is known for its wild swings in temperatures, and that will certainly be the case in the week leading up to Halloween.
We start with Wednesday, when temperatures begin in the 30s and 40s.
Sunshine and a slight breeze out of the southwest will bring high temperatures into the mid to upper 70s.
We expect more of the same for WSLS 10′s Trick-or-Treat event at Layman Family Farms Thursday.
High pressure keeps a strong hold over our weather, meaning we’ll be exceptionally warm for the upcoming weekend (yes, that includes the races at Martinsville Speedway).
Don’t get too used to the warmth, though. A cold front moves through Monday, sparking some afternoon and evening rain showers. Highs prior to that will still be in the 60s and 70s.
Barbie, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift costumes will need some extra layers on Halloween. A rush of cold air sends shivers down your spine while or Trick-or-Treating next week.
