ROANOKE, Va. – Nothing says autumn like starting out with patches of frost but then reaching the 70s by the afternoon! That is exactly what will happen Tuesday.
Come Wednesday morning, temperatures start between 38 and 44° but they’ll climb to about 73 to 78° by the afternoon.
High pressure remains our main weather source, leading to cool mornings and warming afternoons later this week.
This means great weather for the WSLS Trick-or-Treat event at Layman Family Farms Thursday!
While the Western U.S. gets inches of snow, we’ll be on the opposite side of the weather pattern late this week into the weekend.
In fact, temperatures will reach within a few degrees of record levels this weekend. Be ready for that if you plan on heading to the races at Martinsville Speedway!
Beyond that, we look ahead to the Halloween forecast.
There will be a cold front in our vicinity, but it’s a slow-mover. That makes the forecast challenging.
We’ll see some showers followed by wind and cold air, but the question becomes, “Does that happen on Halloween or on November 1st?”
