ROANOKE, Va. – The number one complaint about the weather this time of year is the humidity, and it’s been uncomfortable at times the past several days.
Following a weak front Monday, humidity levels will drop a bit later in the day.
The afternoon will still be warm and a bit on the humid side.
This drop in humidity means less fuel for storms, a more comfortable night and quicker relief from sweating.
Overnight lows heading into Tuesday will drop into the 50s and lower 60s.
Enjoy that relief, because afternoons will still be hot (it’s summer after all) especially through mid-to-late week.
Moisture levels increase later in the week. That, in tandem with the heat and a few disturbances above us, will lead to the daily chance for afternoon and evening storms from Thursday through Sunday.
