ROANOKE, Va. – Another stretch of spring-like warmth is on tap through most of this week, including Valentine’s Day.
High temperatures will reach into the low to mid 60s by the afternoon with evening temperatures around 55 to 60°.
It will be a nice evening to take someone you love out for a bite to eat!
Wednesday looks like one of the warmest days of the week, thanks to a breeze out of the southwest.
Temperatures will be within a few degrees of record levels by the afternoon - feeling every bit like April out there.
Come Thursday, a few showers will move in by the morning, but the bulk of the rain we see moves west to east at night into Friday morning. Some of this will be heavy at times, but the threat for severe thunderstorms stays west of us.
Once the front passes to the east, temperatures will drop from morning to afternoon Friday. We’ll be windy at times too with gusts of up to 40 mph possible.
We’ll still be breezy and cool Saturday, but we’ll see increasing sunshine. We’ll turn things around Sunday with highs in the 60s outside of the mountains.
