ROANOKE, Va. – Storms Wednesday night helped to break up some of the heat, but also produced thousands of power outages at one point.
Thursday’s weather appears much calmer, though there may be a stray shower or storm east of the Parkway during the afternoon and evening hours.
Friday will be mostly dry too with highs in the 80s.
A weak flow off the Atlantic may help spark a few isolated downpours in the mountains Saturday, followed by a slightly better chance of afternoon/evening storms Sunday west of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Each day’s high temperatures will range between roughly 85 and 91°.

Come Monday, a front takes our warmth and humidity and wrings it out in the form of more numerous showers and thunderstorms.
Beyond that, humidity levels back off a bit more heading into (at least) Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
