Typical temperatures take us through the first weekend of summer

A few hit-or-miss downpours will be possible this weekend too

ROANOKE, Va. – Storms Wednesday night helped to break up some of the heat, but also produced thousands of power outages at one point.

Thursday’s weather appears much calmer, though there may be a stray shower or storm east of the Parkway during the afternoon and evening hours.

Friday will be mostly dry too with highs in the 80s.
