FLOYD COUNTY (WSLS 10) - Stop 8 on the Virginia Proud Weather Tour took Jeff Haniewich to the Floyd Country Store in Floyd County.
On Friday nights, the store is host the Friday Night Jamboree.
"It's been going on for decades now. It sort of invokes the music and the traditions of the Appalachian Mountains that have been going on for centuries where people got together after a hard day of work, or a hard week of work, and play music and dance. That's what we do," said Dylan Locke, the owner of the Floyd Country Store.
Floyd County recently opened a new visitor's center and a new website, visitfloydva.com.
On Tuesday, the tour will be in Rockbridge County and Lexington.
