Temple Emanuel is the second oldest synagogue in Colorado.

In addition, bomb technicians were investigating a suspicious device left at the clinic and others at a motel where Ulrich was staying, authorities added. Gregory Ulrich, 67, is charged in an attack on an Allina Health clinic this week that left 37-year-old medical assistant Lindsay Overbay dead and four other people wounded. Ulrich had threatened in October 2018 to carry out a mass shooting at the clinic in Buffalo, a small city about 40 miles (65 kilometers) northwest of Minneapolis. The threat led Ulrich to be banned from clinic property, and the following month a restraining order was granted to prohibit him from contacting a doctor at the clinic. AdAt a news conference following Thursday's hearing, Wright County Sheriff Sean Deringer was asked about any permits Ulrich held.

Police identified the slain children as Jalaiya Pridgeon, 1; Jaidus Pridgeon, 3; Harmony Anderson, 5; Neveah Pridgeon, 6; and Que’dynce Anderson, 9. Neighbors told the Muskogee Phoenix that they had only recently moved to the home but that the children were often outside playing. Raven Anderson, who is an aunt to the children, told Tulsa TV station KOTV that Pridgeon was the father of three of the slain children.

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is reporting new coronavirus cases. On Monday, Sheriff Bill Overton announced that late last month, during a daily screening process, an inmate was quarantined and tested for COVID-19 after presenting sinus/allergy-like symptoms. That person did indeed test positive, which prompted more testing throughout the jail. Since then, other offenders, as well as Sheriff’s Office staff have tested positive. Some inmates have been taken to the Western Virginia Regional Jail as it has a greater capacity to house offenders, while providing any necessary medical care and isolation from their healthy population, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

GILES - While many Halloween celebrations got rained out last week, one local sheriff's department made sure there were plenty of treats to be had. It's what the Giles County Sheriff's office called "Operation Save Halloween"At the last minute, they transformed their own Sheriff's Office in Pearisburg into a haunted house and opened it up for local trick-or-treaters to come by and get candy. According to a Facebook post by the Sheriff's Office, the local Walmart and Dollar General along with Clarity Eye Care made donations of large bags of candy to give out to more than one thousand kids who came by dressed in their Halloween costumes. A narcotics unit was conducting a traffic stop when the weapons were discovered, the DeSoto County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post. Driver Donald Reid, Jr. told detectives as far as he knew, the grenade was "live," the post said. The bomb squad from neighboring Sarasota County responded to help remove and destroy the grenade, the sheriff's office said. Reid was charged with multiple counts of possession of firearms and ammunition by a convicted felon, according to the post.
