The city police department was notified of an alleged assault Friday. As a result, the Lynchburg Police Department is currently investigating and the Blue Ridge Regional Jail Authority is cooperating fully, the police department said in a release Saturday night. While the police department nor jail officials have named the inmate/victim, the family has identified them as 26-year-old Carroll Williams. WSLS 10 News spoke to the family regarding the allegations and has reached out to the Lynchburg Police Department to confirm the graphic accusations.

Authorities requested Lacy’s DNA in order to determine if the dead baby was her child. Roanoke County officials said Tuesday that the baby’s body was partially decomposed, making identification difficult. Detectives are now waiting for the medical examiner’s results, according to Roanoke County officials. SUNDAYAccording to Roanoke County Police, charges are pending for a woman after authorities say she punched an officer at Tanglewood Mall.
