Spring classes begin this week with in-person and virtual options. Mill Mountain hopes to even add outdoor learning when the weather permits. The theatre’s artistic director, Ginger Poole, said it will likely be the end of summer before their industry returns to normal. She said theaters are looking to their industry leader, Broadway, for direction right now.

After canceling this year’s performances in September due to the coronavirus pandemic, Mill Mountain Theatre will return in the new year with some new shows. They will have three MainStage productions on the Trinkle MainStage, three productions for Young Audiences, one Fringe production and one musical concert. “It doesn’t mean we are out of the dark,” Mill Mountain Theatre Producing Artistic Director Ginger Poole said. Current subscribers can renew and or adjust their ticket packages now until Dec. 18, 2020 while single tickets and new ticket subscribers can secure their seats starting Dec. 18, 2020.

The 345-seat theater will be marked with signs limiting the available seating to only 40 percent. But with that said, all of these decisions for these particular shows in 2021 are very strategic,” said Ginger Poole, the producing artistic director at Mill Mountain Theatre. In-person events will start late summer, but virtual performances will continue.

Im from Arkansas and I feel really fortunate to be able to work on this because I feel a connection with it, said actor Achilles Mulkey. I know for me personally, I really struggled really hard to find hope and so when Mill Mountain reached out to me, like, that hope was really restored, said Alexia Buckner, actress.
