For the second year in a row, the Grinch found himself in Blacksburg wreaking havoc.

Police say a serial burglar has been caught attempting to poach Christmas presents from actor Robert De Niro’s Manhattan home.

The Salvation Army says Farmington-area residents of northern New Mexico are donating gifts and money after somebody stole a van loaded with $6,000 worth of toys to be distributed to over 350 children.

He’s going after Christmas wreaths that many people put on their doors this time of the year. “There is one in his arm and one in the bag," said Alex Tsalagas, wreath thief’s victim, referencing the video. Tsalagas says he caught the wreath thief on his security camera. First, the man tries to lift the wreath off his front door, but finds it tied to the hook with string. “So he comes back a few minutes later with scissors, cuts the string, and carries the wreath away,” said Tsalagas.

He added that the tariffs on electronics, toys, sneakers and other products will be delayed "so they won't be relevant for the Christmas shopping season." Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross and White House trade adviser Peter Navarro later issued similar comments about how the delay on tariffs, which were set to kick in on Sept. 1, was kind of like an early holiday present to consumers.
