A structure fire was reported on Sunday that left a family of five displaced, said Botetourt County Fire Department.

It’s not often you get a chance to hear from the someone who was directly involved in the Pacific Theater battles that movies have been made about.

Project leaders say they’re now in the planning phase of a 26-mile-long trail set for Botetourt and Craig Counties.

Two pets died in a house fire in Eagle Rock Sunday morning.

The Craig Botetourt Scenic Trail will run parallel to Craigs Creek, 26 miles from New Castle to Eagle Rock, county officials said.

According to the Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office, all fire units have cleared the scene.

BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. – A tornado warning issued for Botetourt County and Rockbridge County has expired. The warning covered southwestern Rockbridge County and north-central Botetourt County.
