ROANOKE CO., Va. – BREAKING UPDATE:Roanoke County Police is investigating a fatal crash that occurred at the intersection of Williamson Road and Commander Drive. Police say it happened around 7:45 p.m. when a motorcycle was traveling Southbound on Williamson Road. Williamson Road is now back open. Roanoke County Police is investigating a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Williamson Road and Commander Drive. Williamson Road will be closed from Florist Road to Abney Road for an extended period of time.

CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. – Chief Hall and Firefighter Johnson of the Evington Volunteer Fire Department were involved in an ATV side by side accident on Saturday, according to the department’s Facebook page. According to State Police, an ATV was traveling on Halseys Bridge Road in Campbell County around 6:20 p.m when the driver lost control. The vehicle overturned and both the driver and passenger were thrown from their seats. Police say they were both airlifted to the trauma unit at Roanoke Memorial hospital for serious injuries. The crash remains under investigation to determine who was driving and the exact circumstances of the crash.

HENRY CO., Va. – Virginia State Police are investigating a single-car crash that resulted in the death of a woman. The crash happened Saturday morning on Route 687 in Henry County. The driver of the vehicle crossed the center line and ran off the left side of the road, striking a large boulder tree. Taylor was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash and died at the scene. The crash is under investigation.

HENRY CO., Va. – Police are investigating a deadly car crash that resulted in the death of two people. The crash happened Friday around 4:58 p.m. on Route 793. A 2017 Ford Explorer was traveling north on the route when the car was struck by a falling tree. The explorer then ran off the left side of the road and struck a pole and several trees. Both were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. – According to the Bedford Fire Department, a car was trapped after it crashed into a tree around 11 p.m. Saturday along the 8000 block of Big Island Highway in Bedford County. Crews removed the roof of the car to get the person inside of it out. Medics treated the person on scene. The fire department says they were then taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. Check back for more updates.
