The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a body was found Saturday afternoon in the North Fork River near Cannery Road in Elliston. Investigators say there is no indication of foul play, but are continuing to investigate.

NARROWS, Va. According to the Giles County Police Department, a body was found Sunday at a home on Woodland Ave. in Narrows. Police say the victim was found Sunday afternoon and details are still pending.

FRANKLIN CO., Va. – On Saturday the Franklin County Communications Center received a 911 call at around 9:00 pm alerting of a subject in the river in distress. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and Franklin County Public Safety responded to the incident in the 5000 block of Brooks Mill Road. Rescue searches were conducted, but officials were unable to locate the subject and rescheduled the search to Sunday morning. Franklin County deputies and Public Safety responded. VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. According to WAVY, Virginia Beach Police are investigating a death on Saturday afternoon after a womans body was found in a dumpster following a dumpster fire. Just after noon., dispatch requested the police to assist with a dumpster fire incident in the 4700 block of Columbus Street. Once the fire was extinguished, the Virginia Beach Fire Department discovered the deceased body inside of the dumpster. The body is believed to be an adult woman, police say. No further information is available at this time.
