A dangerously cold air mass has moved into Southwest and Central Virginia, prompting an Alert Day through Saturday. Wind chills are forecast to plunge well below zero, with only minor flurries after the recent weekend snowfall.

A Weather Authority Alert Day has been issued for Monday, the 26th, through Saturday, the 31st. In the wake of our weekend winter storm, bitterly cold air will move into the region and bring dangerously cold wind chills each morning of the week.

Yep. It is certainly likely we see a significant storm this weekend, but much remains uncertain.

A Weather Authority Alert Day has been issued for Tuesday due to dangerously cold temperatures. Our temperature setup brings much of the East Coast below average temperatures beginning on Tuesday. This, paired with high winds, will be dangerous for some.

Yesterday's cold front brought frigid temperatures and some moisture to aid in rain showers and occasional snowfall. Looking ahead into tomorrow, another cold front will pass through and bring more cold air to begin the week.
