State senator Sean Bennett co-sponsored the bill, which went to Governor Henry McMaster’s desk Wednesday. “The outcry from the public is why in the world do we change these clocks every year,” Bennett said. Bennett said while he appreciated the extra hour of sleep, he recognized that Daylight Saving isn’t beloved by residents.

Martinsville City Council could vote on reversion next month

At Tuesday night’s council meeting, officials gave a presentation about how reversion works. City Council members started preparing for a vote about a year ago when they decided to have the 2013 reversion studies updated. 2013 was the last time the city took a vote on reversion, choosing not to revert.
