Scoring for a Thanksgiving meal — that’s exactly what Virginia Tech Football and Kroger Mid-Atlantic are doing with their 6th annual Touchdowns for Turkeys campaign. The collaboration is helping to make a meaningful impact in the community by providing hundreds of Thanksgiving meals to families in need.
Hokies will host a Thursday night game for the first time since 2018 when West Virginia makes a trip to Blacksburg in September.
Virginia Tech Football head coach Brent Pry welcomed home his first signing class as the Hokies added 19 players to the squad during Wednesday’s early signing period. Tech’s early signing list included 11 players who completed their prep careers in Virginia, the best haul of in-state talent for the Hokies since 2014.
The Rockbridge County High School grad, formerly known as Lexington High School, has led the Penn State defense for the past 8 seasons.
