Drivers traveling north on I-81 in Montgomery County can expect delays due to a vehicle fire at mile marker 124.8, according to VDOT. All north lanes are closed. Traffic is being rerouted off I-81 north at exit 118 onto US-460 then back onto I-81 at exit 128.

At 11:25 a.m., police said they responded to a single-vehicle crash. Authorities said a Toyota Camry traveling on Route 220 ran off the road and overturned near Brookledge Lane. ORIGINAL STORYDrivers headed north should avoid part of U.S. 220 in Franklin County if they can. At about 11:40 a.m., a crash nearly nine miles north of VA-57 in Franklin County caused all northbound travel lanes to close as first responders are at the scene.
