AdDespite that, election systems are vulnerable to the same risks exposed by the SolarWinds hack, the report said. AdThe use of foreign suppliers for voting technology and related supply chain security has long been a concern. AdBrandon Wales, the acting director of the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, said recently there was โno evidence that any election systems were compromisedโ as part of the hack.

___Boston College has postponed two menโs basketball games this week because of positive COVID-19 tests, prompting the Atlantic Coast Conference to juggle its schedule. Carolina, Dallas, Florida, Nashville and Tampa Bay have all had games postponed because of the pandemic. ___The Chattanooga Mocs have postponed a pair of menโs basketball games after a positive COVID-19 test among the teamโs Tier 1 personnel. ___The Southern Conference postponed three games because of positive COVID-19 tests within the Furman and Chattanooga menโs basketball programs. Furmanโs next scheduled game is Feb. 3 at Samford, while Chattanooga is slated to return to the court at Western Carolina the same day.
Romney: Trump's election fraud claim wrong, 'reckless'

But some GOP leaders struck a more neutral tone โ and others urged the White House to fight. But Trump โis wrong to say the election was rigged, corrupt and stolen,โณ Romney said on Twitter. Before Trump's speech in the White House briefing room, several Republicans challenged his attempts to halt vote-counting in Pennsylvania and other battleground states. "It is critical that we give election officials time to complete their jobs, and that we ensure all lawfully cast ballots are allowed and counted,'' she said in a statement.
Some in GOP break with Trump over baseless vote-fraud claims
Trump did not back up his claims with any details or evidence, and state and federal officials have not reported any instances of widespread voter fraud. Counting votes is often โlongโ and โfrustrating,โ Romney said. Most in the GOP take pains to avoid directly criticizing Trump, even when they find his conduct unhelpful or offensive to their values and goals. But one of Trumpโs top congressional supporters said he supports efforts to question the vote counting process and is donating money to shore up legal challenges. Chris Christie, a Trump ally who is an analyst for ABC News, said there was no basis for Trump's argument.
Arenas, stadiums find new life as safer options for voting

The Hawks were the first NBA team to commit their arena for early voting. There are 30 early voting locations scattered around Fulton County, which stretches 70 miles (112 kilometers) north to south. Florida has early voting at venues used by the NBAโs Orlando Magic, the NHLโs Tampa Bay Lightning and the NFLโs Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Big turnout as early in-person voting starts in Georgia

Technicians resolved the problem and the lines soon cleared at the arena, which is Georgia's largest early voting site, with 300 voting machines. Early in-person voting runs through Oct. 30 in Georgia. While voters must vote at their assigned polling place on Election Day, they can vote at any voting site in their county during early voting.
