Sisters of Change is holding a drive to collect period products and underwear for students from now until March 25.

On National Nonprofit Day we check in with Sisters of Change to see what community events they’re working on; one of them involves Christmas spirit

It’s these moments that Jojo Friday, the founder of Sisters of Change, has unknowingly spent the past three years working toward. She found it frustrating trying to lead others in our community to real change. “The next step is how do I change my circle in order to actually change our community and that’s the next step. Sisters of Change is hoping to serve the community as the connecting bridge. Sisters of Change has created a diversity course for businesses and non-profits interested in educating its employees.

There is a prayer vigil and peaceful march planned by Sisters of Change in Roanoke starting at 4 p.m. The group plans to meet at the Martin Luther King Jr. statue in downtown Roanoke and then do a prayer march to First Baptist Church Gainsboro on N Jefferson Street. There is another prayer vigil planned for 6 p.m. Its also happening at the Martin Luther King Jr. statue in downtown Roanoke.
