Some sheriffs are pushing back on a report from an immigration think tank designating them as sanctuary jurisdictions.

BASSETT, Va. – Authorities continue searching for a person of interest after a man was shot and later died in Bassett on Friday night. They found Robert Williams, 39, of Bassett, who had been shot multiple times. Deputies performed life-saving measures but Williams was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office is trying to find a person of interest, Douglas Gillespie, 25, of Bassett.
