The LPGA is playing for more money than ever and will be seen on TV a little bit more.

The U.S. Women's Open is finally at Pebble Beach, the most recognizable of all U.S. Open courses.

It will be the first Monday finish for the U.S. Women's Open since So Yeon Ryu won at The Broadmoor in Colorado in 2011. Se Ri Pak was the most recent in 1998 at the LPGA Championship and U.S. Women's Open. They will pick up where they left off on Monday; the USGA decided against calling the final round a wash and starting over.

Nothing about this U.S. Women's Open felt normal until Saturday. That's when it became a grind that for so many years has defined this biggest event in women's golf. Shibuno won the Women's British Open last year at Woburn, and declined to take up LPGA membership because she didn't think she was ready.
