Hooker also passed for 2,984 yards and 22 touchdowns in his time at Virginia Tech. Thursday afternoon, Herbert announced on Twitter that he would be declaring for the NFL draft. In one season at Virginia Tech, he rushed for 1,182 yards and 8 touchdowns.

Hendon Hooker announced Thursday that he will enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. In addition to starting seven games this season, in 2019, he started eight of the team’s 13 games. A Greensboro, North Carolina native, threw for 2,894 yards with 22 TDs and 7 interceptions, while rushing for 1,033 yards and 15 TDs during his time in Blacksburg.

UVA totaled 520 yards on offense, with 333 rushing yards. UVA quarterback Bryce Perkins (Queen Creek, Arizona) threw for 181 yards and had 104 yards rushing with two passing and two rushing touchdowns. WHERE IT TURNEDVirginia's momentum shifted after Perkins ran for a 22-yard touchdown with 1:38 to go in the first quarter to take a 14-10 lead. The Cavaliers closed out the half with a 28-10 lead after Ellis scored on a 10-yard run.
