PISCATAWAY, NJ – Rutgers coach C. Vivian Stringer has offered her condolences to the family of late radio personality Don Imus, who used a racial slur to describe the Scarlet Knights in 2007 after the team lost the national championship game to Tennessee. Stringer prepared a statement for her press conference following a 66-56 loss to Indiana on Tuesday addressing the disc jockey's passing. “The Rutgers family has found peace through the years, and we are proud of our response to hateful words spoken years ago," the statement said. It is our prayer that Don finds eternal peace in his passing and we wish his family strength.”Stringer said she hasn't thought much about Imus since forgiving him years ago. Stringer said she believes everyone makes mistakes and has done things they shouldn't.

Princeton Theological Seminary has vowed to pay $27.6 million in reparations through a series of new initiatives. They are also designating five doctoral fellowships for students who are descendants of slaves or underrepresented groups. Princeton Seminary acknowledges it had ties to slaverywhile they say they never owned slaves, nor was the campus built with slave labor, they did say they benefitted from the slave economy. According to NJ.com, Georgetown University students voted to raise their own tuition so 272 descendants of slaves could be paid reparations. Both Rutgers and Princeton University have acknowledged their past ties to slavery but have not issued any reparations.

(CNN) - Sometimes a touchdown is so exciting, you just gotta ... uh... punch your quarterback in the face? That's exactly what Rutgers center Mike Maietti did on Saturday, when the Scarlet Knights scored against the Boston College Eagles. After Rutgers quarterback Art Sitkowski connected with wide open running back Raheem Blackshear on a 74-yard pass, Maietti ran to Sitkowski, picked him up, and punched him straight in the face. Sitkowski's head whipped back and the two carried on celebrating like nothing strange happened. Sadly, Rutgers couldn't punch its way to a victory.
