A passenger in the vehicle, Kolby Singleton, 18, of Danville, was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene, according to police. The crash remains under investigation. Authorities say the crash happened around 12:20 p.m. on Route 58 two miles east of Route 620. According to state police, Ronald Elliott of Ridgeway was going west on Route 58 on a 2004 Harley Davidson when the motorcycle crossed the center line and hit a 2018 Nissan Titan. Police say Elliott was wearing a helmet and died at the scene. Authorities say the driver of the Nissan, Michael Hubbard, 76, of Meadows of Dan, was wearing his seatbelt and was not hurt in the crash.

State police say Ntombo Bianda, 21, of Alexandria, Va., and Ayanna Griffin, 19, of Germantown, Md., were found dead on a median of Route 58 near Melon Road in the Turbeville community of Halifax County early Saturday morning. Just before 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, troopers arrived to the scene of what appeared to be a single-vehicle crash. State police say they found a silver 2009 Nissan Maxima registered to Bianda in the median and two bodies nearby. Authorities say the three-vehicle crash happened Saturday around midnight on Route 58, less than a mile west of Route 722. A 2011 Subaru Impreza was going west on Route 58 when it ran off the right side of the highway onto a private drive. Police say the impact of the crash sent the Subaru into a culvert. It then reportedly hit a highway sign and went back into the westbound lanes of Route 58, where it collided with a 2007 Pontiac G6 that was going west on Route 58 at the time of the crash.

The crash happened just after 10:30 p.m. on Route 58 near Route 51. Joan Stewart was driving a 2015 Toyota Venza west on Route 58 when she ran off the right side of the roadway into a ditch, overturned and then hit a building, according to state police. She was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash and was transported to Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where she later died. The crash remains under investigation.

The crash happened at 10:22 p.m. at the intersection of Route 501 and Route 58. The deputy driving slowed before entering the intersection but was hit on the side by a 2017 Nissan Versa traveling east on Route 58, according to state police. The sheriff's deputy, Giles Jones, 33, of Halifax County, was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries. The driver of the Nissan was not injured in the crash.
