A new study out Monday finds that even in the most optimistic scenarios, grass-fed beef is no less carbon-intensive than industrial beef.

Former "American Idol" contestant Haley Smith died in a motorcycle accident Saturday morning, according to reports. Smith, who was from Utah, crashed her motorcycle in Millinocket, Maine, around 2 a.m. after failing to navigate a sharp turn, police said. She was 21 when she appeared in season 11 of "American Idol" in 2012. Her dad, Mike Smith, told TMZ the family does not believe she lost control of her bike.
