A Radford man has been arrested and charged with sexual assault and numerous other crimes after a sexual assault investigation conducted by Radford City Polic

Radford City dispatchers have a new system where they now have a standardized way of approaching medical emergency calls.

Radford City Police are searching for a suspect who they claim led them on a vehicle chase early Friday morning.

Radford Police say they were called to the home for a disturbance which turned into a five-hour long standoff with a barricaded subject.

Radford University Police say a University-owned building was struck by gunfire.

The training presents officers with different scenarios of breached buildings and numbers of active threats.

Radford City Police are investigating a possible shooting.

RADFORD, Va. – Shots fired in Radford early Sunday morning left neighbors and students at Radford University feeling uneasy. Sunday morning, just after 1 a.m., Radford City police responded to reports of a shooting in the 100 block of Madison Street. You know, just five or six ‘Pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, pop.’ You know, really loud,” recalled Lawson. Police believe the two shootings are connected but do not believe the public is in any danger. “This is a pretty unusual event for the city of Radford,” said Jenni Wilder, the city and police department’s public information officer.

RADFORD, Va. - Radford City Police, fire and rescue found a car ran off the road and overturned on West Main Street in the are of Wilderness Road at 8:28 p.m. SaturdayThe driver, Curtis Robinson, 51, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only one in the vehicle. Police say a preliminary investigation indicates alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash. There will be no further information released at this time.
