They were state runner-ups a year ago, but on Tuesday, they downed Louisa County, the team that beat them for the ring. They are ready to make another run at the title.

It was clear early on who was leaving the football field with a W in this game.

The Pulaski County Cougars had a rough go of it on Friday night.

Through three quarters, Pulaski County held a commanding 49-0 lead.

Salem made the trip down Interstate 81 on Friday night and returned home with a victory.

Hidden Valley beat Pulaski County, 28-20.

Pulaski County lost to James Wood by one point Friday night, 34-33.

After having their original Week 2 opponent canceled, the Pulaski County Cougars beat Jefferson Forest on Friday night.

The Cougars enter the 2021 campaign with more confidence and familiarity as they open up year two of the Mark Dixon era.

Salem secured home-field advantage in the Region playoffs, beating Pulaski County, 27-14 on Friday night.

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. – Pulaski County guaranteed itself an at-worst .500 record for the regular season with a Friday night win over Christiansburg. The now 3-0 Cougars beat the Blue Demons 28-7.

Spencer Hamilton scored 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 blocks in the 56-39 win, as Parry McCluer won its first VHSL State Championship in program history. Salem, Va. like many other teams across the state...its been a long 3 months for the salem spartans. despite winning the past 10 matchups...theres a new wrinkle in an old rivalry with pulaski county...with mark dixon now at the helm in dublin. Coach Dixon is a heck of a football coach, I know that. Longtime Salem football fans and Pulaski fans can remember. They remember 1984-85, Salem went 9-1 and didnt make the playoffs and the only loss was to Pulaski and vice versa.

DUBLIN, Va. - The Dublin Police Department is remembering late chief Jay Vest, who died on Tuesday, according to a Facebook post shared by the department. Vest was a big fan of the Pulaski County Cougars football team and NASCAR fanatic. He is remembered by his sons & daughter-in-law, Greg Vest and Scott and Chrissi Vest; his daughters and sons-in-law, Anna and Greg Tickle, and Lora and Billy Richardson and his grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Thursdayat 7 p.m. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, White Gate.
