AdโTwo out of three years weโve been to state title game, we get a little closer every year,โ said Pulaski County head coach Scott Ratcliff. This season they reached a VHSL State Championship game for the first time in program history. The difference was, we made a few turnovers we didnโt want to and we had some shots that didnโt go in,โ said Patrick Henry head coach Mike Hedrick. With the win Princess Anne has now won 8 consecutive VHSL State Championships, 12 overall as a program.

Coach Dixon is a heck of a football coach, I know that. Longtime Salem football fans and Pulaski fans can remember. They remember 1984-85, Salem went 9-1 and didnt make the playoffs and the only loss was to Pulaski and vice versa.

He is remembered by his sons & daughter-in-law, Greg Vest and Scott and Chrissi Vest; his daughters and sons-in-law, Anna and Greg Tickle, and Lora and Billy Richardson and his grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Thursdayat 7 p.m. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, White Gate.
