Protesters packed up and left a pro-Palestinian encampment at Philadelphia’s Drexel University after the school announced a decision to have police clear the encampment.

Protesters have set fire to the police station and judicial office in the Peruvian town of Macusani after two people were killed and another seriously injured by gunfire amid antigovernment protests.

Two Mountain Valley Pipeline protesters have attached themselves to equipment at a site in West Virginia, according to Appalachians Against Pipelines.

Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said the measures target military-owned conglomerate Myanmar Economic Holdings Ltd. for its involvement in serious abuses against the country's Rohingya minority and for its association with senior military figures. Thursday's announcement followed asset freezes and travel bans that the British government imposed on nine members of Myanmar's military leadership last month. On Wednesday, more than 600 demonstrators were released, a rare conciliatory gesture by the military that appeared aimed at placating the protest movement.

Many immigrants feel solidarity with the Black Lives Movement and want to participate in ongoing national marches. According to a report by the Toms Rivera Center completed shortly after the unrest, immigration authorities took advantage of the riots to find unauthorized immigrants. There were reports of not just immigration authorities pulling people aside, but of Los Angeles police sending people they'd detained straight over to them. He said the issue of police brutality against black people resonates with immigrants because theyre often subjected to or fear aggressive tactics by immigration authorities.

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Emotions ran high in downtown Lynchburg Tuesday at the local NAACP chapters demonstration. Perhaps the height of it all was when an officer stood alongside protesters. “It was 100% wrong and we just want to let the community know as an officer and the Lynchburg Police Department, we are here to support [them]," said an emotional Carson. The event was held at Monument Terrace in downtown Lynchburg. In an effort to better relations between the community and officers, Carson has organized a group that will speak with organizations or individuals one-on-one across the Hill City.
