The network has committed to six episodes that will air on consecutive Tuesday nights. Cooper asked him to post the apology on social media, and then met with him Thursday for a three-hour conversation at Cannons business headquarters in Burbank, California. He appears to be someone whos genuine in his desire to make sure people understand his apology, Cooper told The Associated Press. Cooper said that hes confident that Cannon will use his wide-ranging social media presence to talk openly about mistakes, fight for social justice and reject messages of hate. He thanked Cooper and assured the Jewish community that it was just the beginning of his education.

Rabbi Abraham Cooper, the Simon Wiesenthal Centerโs associate dean, told The Associated Press that Cannon reached out to him Wednesday and during a 30-minute telephone conversation he apologized to the Jewish community and Cooper asked him to post it on social media. โThe danger is that those groups get confused with other self-identified Israelites like (Rabbi) Capers Funnye, who has a congregation in Chicago, and who is very much involved with the Ashkenazim Jewish community. My first words to my brother was, I apologize for the hurt I caused the Jewish Communityโ Cannon tweeted.

As controversy over his podcast began to bubble up Monday, Cannon replied in a Facebook post.
