Bob LuPone, who as an actor earned a Tony nomination in the original run of “A Chorus Line” and went on to help lead the influential off-Broadway theater company MCC Theater for almost 40 years, has died.

Michael Renzi has died after a career in which he served as musical director of “Sesame Street” and worked with the likes of Peggy Lee, Mel Tormé, Lena Horne and some of the other biggest names in jazz and pop.

Actor Julie Halston will receive the Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award for her work fighting the lung-scarring disease pulmonary fibrosis.

According to a family statement, Peretti died Thursday night in her sleep at home in a small village outside Barcelona. “Elsa was not only a designer but a way of life,” Tiffany said in a statement Friday. In recognition of her work, Tiffany established the Elsa Peretti professorship in jewelry design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, the first endowed professorship in the history of FIT.
