Kennesaw State ended the half shooting 43.5 percent while Liberty struggled, shooting 28.6 percent. Liberty held Kennesaw State scoreless for six minutes as Liberty extended its lead to double digits. Liberty’s defense forced Kennesaw State to commit 15 turnovers, which led to 15 points for Liberty.

___George Washington’s men’s basketball team is postponing two upcoming Atlantic 10 games after head coach Jamion Christian tested positive for COVID-19. ___The Kennesaw State women’s volleyball team called off the first two games of its spring season because of positive COVID-19 tests. The league says the postponement is because of a combination of positive COVID-19 tests, contact tracing and subsequent quarantining inside the Vanderbilt program. ___Rutgers women’s basketball has postponed home games on Thursday against Penn State and Sunday against Iowa. Rutgers has not announced any recent positive tests, but it cannot play because of protocols outlining a return to competition after positive COVID-19 tests among Tier 1 individuals.

Liberty improves to 11-4 this season and 3-1 in the ASUN Conference while Kennesaw State drops to 3-9 and 0-4 in conference. The Flames improve to 10-4 and 2-1 in the ASUN Conference while Kennesaw State falls to 3-8 and 0-3 in conference. After getting settled in, Kennesaw State was able to jump out to a 12-0 lead midway through the half. Kennesaw State shot 38.5 percent from the field. I have a lot of respect for Kennesaw State and the season they are having; it is just a matter of time before they get some wins because they play quality basketball.
