When heโs sentenced in November, he will face a possible maximum of nine life sentences plus a mandatory 15 years. On March 20, 2019, officers received multiple shots fired calls from people in Iron Gate, according to Alleghany County Commonwealthโs Attorney Ann Gardner. While Meadows did not hit any officers, he did hit a Virginia State Police vehicle. Chris Fisher, both with the Alleghany County Sheriffโs Office, were able to negotiate with Meadows and convince him to surrender.
