A man from Newport News was driving a Dodge Ram in the left lane on I-81 when he hit Justin Briggs, 41, of Wytheville, according to police. Authorities have identified a woman who died in a crash that involved two tractor-trailers and two cars on I-81 in Roanoke County on Sunday. Authorities say the crash happened on I-81 near mile marker 147 around 7 a.m. when a pickup truck rear-ended a tractor-trailer, trapping the driver of the pickup. The driver of the pickup, Loretta Blevins, 53, of Salem was wearing her seatbelt and transported to Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
