The beer has been dubbed the โFightinโ Hokies Lagerโ โ a Munich-style Helles lager that comes in at 5% alcohol by volume. โWe are excited that research developed on Virginia Tech soil will be brought to market with proceeds providing scholarships for our students, enabling the expansion of research programs in our highly regarded food science program and fueling Virginiaโs local economy,โ said Dan Sui, vice president for research and innovation. Officials say that the beer is set to hit shelves in Virginia and the DC-metro area next spring.

Virginia Tech only admitted 1,000 fans into the stadium due to COVID-19 precautions, which left many students looking for a different way to watch their team. โIโve been to a couple of games in person and nothing beats it,โ said Virginia Tech freshman Chase Jaramillo. โMe and my friends are still treating this game as regularly as we can.โMany of the fans inside of Lane Stadium were friends or family of the players. Virginia Tech students on campus mostly chose between three options.

Because of COVID-19, there will be several health precautions and restrictions when the Hokies take the field against NC State. Virginia Tech leaders agree that they are looking forward to the day when things can return to normal, but safety is the top priority for now.

I am opting out due to uncertain health conditions and regulations and all the other opt-outs going on in football right now. So thank you Virginia Tech, my coaches, teammates and anyone else who has supported me in the past. Schefter said that Farley is a projected first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Farley, who was a redshirt junior, was named First Team All-ACC last season and was tied for second in the league with four interceptions.

The $20,000 will provide meals for employees at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center (CNRV). โThe support of these coaches and their families means so much to us,โ said Bill Flattery, CEO of CNRV. โTheir generosity speaks volumes to the community pride present in the New River Valley, and we are grateful for their support.โMoney from the fund helps provide snacks and meals to health care workers.

Sawyer Mullen is the daughter of coach Joey Mullen and his wife Ashley Mullen. Seen dressed in Hokie gear from head to toe, she excitedly is reaching out to each player to give a fist bump as they head out on the ice. Ashley said in a social media post that Sawyer is in love with the whole team.
