A nearly three-year legal saga for Alec Baldwin in the fatal shooting of a cinematographer has ended without a verdict but with tears of relief for the actor and a small coterie of family who had settled into a somber routine inside a windowless New Mexico courtroom at trial.

A lawyer for Alec Baldwin grilled a crime scene tech over what he suggested was a shoddy and insufficient search for the source of live ammo that ended up in the actor's gun and killed a cinematographer.

Alec Baldwin is fuming after he says he was tricked into buying tickets to cruise around the Statue of Liberty, only to be directed to a bus to New Jersey. Baldwin says the incident happened when he took his wife, Hilaria, and their kids for a trip to see the landmark.
