On July 14, authorities received a 911 call for shots fired around 4:20 a.m. and officers responded to a home in the 100 block of Salthouse Branch Road in the Henry community of Franklin County. 21-year-old Sean Gabriel Schwallenberg of Hot Springs was arrested on Sept. 29 in Bath County and has been charged with one count of robbery in residence. Qu'Shawn Manns, Te'SEan Brooks and Treavon Taylor are in custody after police say they shot two brothers and killed one (Franklin County Sheriff's Office)This comes after TeโSean Brooks, 19, of Henry was charged with three counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling. Brooks and Taylor are being held without bond at the Franklin County Jail.

As 10 News previously reported, Henry the beagle was rescued after getting trapped in a partially-buried car in Franklin County last week. He chased something into a car on his owner's property when he was let out to go to the bathroom, but couldn't get back out of the car. According to the Franklin County Animal Shelter, the rescue will be featured in an episode of the TV show โLive Rescueโ on the A&E. The rescue is scheduled to air sometime between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Monday.

He was arrested and charged with her murder after a woman out for a walk found a memory card containing 39 still photos and 12 videos that was labeled "homicide at midtown Marriott." Smith was connected to the murder thanks to phone records, police said, which placed him at the area where Henry's remains were found.

Students in Martinsville and Henry and Patrick County got to use virtual reality to learn about working on ships. The students worked with representatives from Old Dominion University and the Newport News Shipbuilding company. "Today, the students are coming through and they're visiting numerous stations, where we teach them about the different technologies that we are using at Newport News Shipbuilding," Newport News Engineering Design Manager Heather Westmoreland said. Middle and high school students and their family members can compete in an engineering challenge.
