Roanoke’s heat wave (consecutive 90-degree days) has run to 17 days, which is tied for the second longest on record with heat waves in 1959 and 2007. Stretch of 90-degree heat (WSLS)While it won’t be quite as hot as yesterday, we’re likely to extend the heat wave to 18 days as highs peak in the 90s again this afternoon.
