Teenagers looking to get in shape this summer can do so for free at Planet Fitness.

AMSTERDAM It wasn't quite business as usual Wednesday as Amsterdam's red-light district emerged from coronavirus lockdown, but it was close. Sex work was the professions allowed back in business as of July 1 in the latest relaxation of virus-prevention measures in the Netherlands. Van der Berg said not all of the windows in the historic buildings of the red-light district were occupied on the first day of post-lockdown business. But according to van der Berg, it was bustling as sex workers welcomed clients again. The red-light district remains one of Amsterdam's major tourism magnets with its often seedy mix of bars, brothels, sex shows and coffee shops selling marijuana.

Carilion Wellness will reopen three of its locations on Wednesday. Staff has designated areas for “dirty” equipment they will clean even after you wipe it down yourself. The Christiansburg location anticipates reopening on Monday. The Danville location anticipates reopening June 12. Group exercise classes return next week at some area YMCA locations.

ROANOKE, Va. Fitness centers are among the businesses preparing to reopen Friday after months of being forced to close because of the coronavirus. Gyms were allowed to reopen with outdoor classes under Phase One. During Phase Two, which starts Friday, gyms can hold indoor classes at 30% capacity, among other guidelines. Brickhouse Crossfit owner Ryan Robertson said they're ready to get back inside, but things will look a lot different. Robertson said hes working to make sure his gym meets all guidelines and will reopen on Monday.
