Not allowing the disease to set the tone of their friendship, they decided to raise money to shave their heads. AdโWe really wanted to hit $10,000, that was our stretch goal and we hit stretch in 36 hours and we were like, โwow,โโ said Cooper. They collectively raised $11,000, which is going to help build Roanoke Hospitality House, a home away from home for family members of hospital patients. โThey actually in 36 hours made a donation to us that was greater than any one single donation we have ever received,โ said Terrianne Julian, acting director of Roanoke Hospitality House.

An officer on the scene told 10 News that a person was stabbed inside of the Grandin Village Apartments on 1700 Grandin Road around 2:40 p.m.Police said one person is arrested. US Marshals tell 10 News there are still no confirmed sightings of Brown. Investigators say the RV in the church parking lot in Grandin is the last concrete piece of evidence they have to go on. The Marshals say they believe Brown is still in southwest Virginia and are waiting for the right tip. There are more than a dozen search warrants in franklin county court for this case but they are all sealed.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness Roanoke Valley hosted a candlelight vigil inside due to rain in Roanoke's Grandin neighborhood on Tuesday night. They want to honor those who struggle with mental illness, both living and deceased, and those who try to help. "It is the opportunity to educate, to make the conversation normal," NAMI Roanoke Valley President Mary Parker Wilson said. Roanoke County leaders issued a proclamation for mental illness awareness week.
