She is the second biggest white shark the group has tagged in the northwest Atlantic, CNN affiliate WSOC-TV reported. "As a big mature female, Unama'ki has the potential to lead us to the site where she gives birth and exposes a new white shark nursery," OCEARCH said.

There have been a total of seven named storms already in the Atlantic Basin, with Barry and Dorian each making a U.S. landfall. By Thursday, when Dorian is off the coast of the Carolinas, we'll start to feel the humidity a little bit more. The weaker high pressure is over the north Atlantic, the farther north Dorian can come and possibly impact us as soon as Wednesday. The stronger high pressure is over the north Atlantic, the farther south Dorian will go.

A system off the East Coast of Florida has a 70% (high) chance of becoming a tropical storm in the next five days, as of a Friday morning update from the National Hurricane Center. As this storm moves into the Gulf Stream (narrow strip of warm water off the coast), it will likely become more organized. While it will likely mean more showers and storms and an increase rip current up and down the East Coast, it will have a loose connection to our weather here. The wind around this system, along with mostly the wind around high pressure to our north, will reinforce some cooler air and clouds for the weekend.
