Happy Monday and welcome to another edition of Beyond The Forecast!

La Niña most often leads to less snow in this part of the U.S.

Thursday morning, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration held a media conference to announce its winter outlook. They are forecasting a slight chance of warmer than average temperatures this winter. It's something we'll have to watch, though, as their projected storm track is fairly close to our region. This can influence the storm track in the U.S. during any season. Typically, the more active the tropical season is - the less active the winter will be (and vice versa).
