A new internet craze that’s got everyone’s taste buds buzzing — Dr Pepper, with pickles in it.

If you’ve been near downtown Roanoke, you may have noticed some new additions to the iconic Dr Pepper sign.

Roanoke is celebrating soda in style this Oct. 24 — recognizing the annual Dr Pepper Day.

Two college students have won $100,000 in tuition after a confusing finish in the SEC championship game’s halftime competition.

On Monday, the city celebrated the soda in style on Dr Pepper Day.

Seven years ago, the City of Roanoke declared October 24th as the official Dr Pepper Day

ROANOKE, Va. – It’s the taste Roanoke knows and loves — with a different celebration this year. Dr Pepper Day is a yearly event that honors the region’s most popular and beloved beverage. And to this day, the city tops the list for drinking the most Dr Pepper per capita. It’s the numbers that are on the Dr Pepper sign in downtown Roanoke. “People have come to love and celebrate Dr Pepper Day and we appreciate the community showing up to support the event,” said Waynette Anderson, Dr Pepper Park president.
